I just pitched my show concept to my friend Tay, and this is exactly how she described it:
“Wow! It’s got all the drama of 90210, all the realism of Skins and a little bit of Gossip Girl thrown in for good measure.”
Basically, it’s a show about 6 normal teens (2 boys + 4 girls) between the ages of 16 and 17 that go to a prestigious boarding school in North London. The characters would be:
Izzie : the cold-hearted genius who harbors secret musical talent
Cora : the loving artsy girl who is full of energy, but is concealing anxiety issues
Rory : the rich, American dancer who is in love with herself, but is always having relationship problems
JD : the cute actress who is an emotional wreck because she secretly has no talent.
Lex : the adorable musician who is struggling to choose who he wants : his ex-girlfriend Izzie and his new interest JD
Cam : the sweet athlete who has a life-threatening illness that no-one knows about.
Say you watched the trailer, and that’s all you knew about it, would you watch it?

yeah, i think id watch it. your friend’s description seems pretty accurate, so provided you have interesting plot lines that put the characters in interesting situations, it could really work! good luck. =)
hmmm. pretty good, i guess! but i don’t think JD is a common name in london…hm? i’m probably wrong, but..
your characters might be lacking diversity, if they’re all the same ethnicity, idk. whatever you want.
the characters all are hiding something, and maybe you should have some more boy characters, idk. try more variety, most of them are stereotypical characters…
btw, i would watch it! that’s a pretty good idea.
It sounds a bit like Gossip Girl, and I love that show, so I would watch it.
There has to be more though. Everybody needs a secret :]
That sounds nice.. make sure to have LOTS of twists so it doesn’t turn into a Gossip Girl thing..
