Living near Manchester, I think Northerners feel there is this great divide between North and South, and the Games ARE great, but for a lot of us here, it will be beyond our finances to experience other than on TV, however fantastic they will be, but yes it’s going to be one brilliant event I’m sure, and if it’s anything like the Commonwealth Games, I’m sure it’ll be a success.
As for terrorists, well we’ve seen them in action in Manchester and London and it hasn’t deterred us in any way, we can ‘rise above them’ and beyond them anytime.

If England has shown extreme enthusiasm and is also in a position to hold olympic games with all pomp and show what’s harm in that. After all England is still the most decent nation to play host this notwithstanding does not mean others are indecent. As far as terrorists are concerned they can haunt any host holding olympics. As far as I am concerned Good Luck to England.

It is a good idea for the people who will make lots of money from the Olympics, it is not such a good idea for the public who must fund it.
With today’s security I don’t see the terrorists doing anything.
The government has been able to stop most attacks and will be more vigilant leading up to the games.

There is every reason to believe that London will host a great games. Terrorists have only attacked at one Olympics despite regular threats and London is no more likely to be a target than any other city.

The real action in 2012 won’t hapen until December 21. Summer Olympics shouldn’t be a problem.
