That’s a tough task to overcome, they will have to be very creative.
But i dont think it will be as good, after all, china is a communist country, and didn’t really care if they destroyed people’s homes and spent billions of dollars to build and create the show.
I dont think gb will go to that level to create a good show.

I think the London stadium looks nice. Either way, I doubt millions of people will be displaced to build it like what happened in Beijing.
I’m personally extremely disappointed with the Olympic committees decision to choose China as a site for the Olympics. China has terrible human rights, murders are often not reported, parents of missing children are punished by police if they publicize their lost child, the government tortures people, people are sentenced to death in mass trials and their families are charged the fee for the bullet, millions of innocent people were basically turned into slaves in the “re-education camps”.
I’m even more disappointed that people watch these Olympics. It’s easy to trash the Olympic committee for choosing China but if you give the networks ratings you’re just as bad. I feel bad for the athletes who are forced to perform in smog.
Regardless of what England has done in recent history, it doesn’t even pale in comparison to what China has done.
So, yes I think the London Olympics will outshine Beijing.
Costs for the Olympics are totally out of hand. No one country can afford unless it is a major propaganda mission, ala China. This might kill the Olympics.
And when you have so many people living in misery how can you justify this spending? Of the 1.3 billion Chinese about 300 million, or more, live in abject subsistence conditions.
it wouldnt be hard to top, in 4 years theres going to be more advanced technology and more ideas for an opening, the world is advencing, dont forget it, ofcourse the english are going to have some wild shait
the opening ceremony in Beijing was truly amazing and i don’t think england will be able to beat the ceremony or the buildings they built
the buildings are awesome
I AM SO EXCITED FOR LONDON!
I cannot wait but this Beijing ceremony WAS awesome.
