Will The London 2012 Stadium Be Ready In Time?

Look at the mess they made with Wembley Stadium…long overdue with the building of it…and way over budget….will we just become a laughing stock all over the world?

It will be ready, but in a revised and scaled down form, as always.
Our glory hungry leaders, are currently busily showcasing how great it will all be, because they still want more of our money.
Once all budgets have been signed, you watch how quickly the plans will be revised down and the costs revised up.
Significantly no-one of note or permanency is putting their name behind the project.

I hope so!! If not, then it would be a real shame because everyone worked hard to get the chance to host the Olympics, so obviously they should live up to expectations!
But, in answer to your question: No, i dont think it will be ready :( xx

I just hope it’s more like the Emirates Stadium project than Wembley….the Emirates Stadium was on time and on budget. If the 2012 stadium falls behind, I am sure we will be a complete laughing stock.

I think they will have learnt lessons from the Wembley fiasco and get it built on time. This case wont be like Wembley, as you can’t postpone holding the olympics there like they did with the FA cup. But it’s bound to be hugely over budget and a lot of people will be upset along the way.
They had better hurry up though, as four years isn’t a long time to build the stadium and all the necessary infrastructure.
Whipass does that mean you don’t want the Scottish athletes going to the olympics that year to represent GB
