In 1980 the USA called for the worldwide boycott of the Moscow Olympic Games because the Russians had invaded Afghanistan to overthrow the Taliban . I understand that now England is part of a group of countries that have invaded Afghanistan to do exactly the same thing. Will the USA be calling for another boycott?

I wouldn’t of thought so, but you never know
!
America and England are rather close right about now and i don’t think they’d boycott London especially since they went to Beijing who had human rights and all that controversy. If anyone was to boycott London it would be Iraq and Afghanistan for obvious reasons….
If you noticed the U.S.A. was the leader in invading Afghanistan so I doubt they will boycott the London Olympics because U.K. is there.
This invasion is not exactly the same thing as in 1980, but this is not the political section so we do not need to discuss that here.
I dont they would even if the US wanted the athletes to. You work your butt off training for the Olympics and it only comes once every 4 years so I doubt you would boycott a dream like that.
no because america invaded afghanistan too duh and usa are good allys with em and the main reason they boycotted moscows becasue they were enemies at the time
