Right now, the olympic torch is making its course around London being greeted by protests for the freedom of Tibet.
In 2012, the torch will make its way around the world for the London games. My question is, will there be similar protests? and what would these be about?

Never mind the situation in Tibet, what i find far more disturbing is why Tim Henman was picked to carry the olympic torch through London

I’m hoping very much that the taxpayers of London will make some kind of protest – in fact we ALL should, as it’s UTTERLY DISGUSTING that OVER £9,000,000,000 is being wasted on these useless Games in London, while there’s still SO MUCH need all over the UK for a share of that money in many aspects of life, and for essential charities that are folding due to lack of funds.
The London Olympics money could have been used towards marvelous GOOD, but I honestly can’t see it being of much benefit at all being spent on the London Olympics.
It’ll be as useless as all the cash wasted on the 2000 Dome project!

Who the hell cares about Tibet?? this is the Olympic games were talking about, Tibet should not even come into this. There’s wars everywhere and people are just using the Olympics as an excuse to cause trouble. These protesters are people without lives and feel that there better than everyone else, I hope they all die of cancer.

Just a guess. In 2012 protests will be launched regarding
    - irreligious language in the media, religious people not being allowed to build houses of worship next to pubs, the need to jail the estimated I million non-convicted paedophiles, the
right to bear firearms to protect themselves against those that
protest against the irreligious language in the media toward
immigrants. etc etc…..just extend the present into the future.

in 2012 i will be protesting about the enormous amount of tax we will be paying for decades to come. its already spreading out around london gathering extra tax to pay for this charade.by 2012 the whole of the uk will be paying an extra 15% hike just for this.

I would imagine there to be protests about china’s actions in tibet, but they may be spontaneous ie:not revealed ahead of time.
Might be best to lok round the activists websites to see what, if anything is planned.
