Hi,
I am writing a piece of coursework for which I need to research the London 2012 Olympics. My main focus in the actual construction of the stadiums, facilities etc but I also have to talk about the transport, employment etc and numerous other things which will be connected with the games.
Now I know the obvious sites like the official games site, but does anybody know of another site which I can get good information on where the materials are coming from (suppliers) for building the facilities for the games, and really any good info on the actual construction area of the event.
Any info on the other area’s (transport etc) would also be great.
Thanks in advance guys, I really appreciate it.

The official website has good info on what you need
    http://www.london2012.com
‘Our plans’ show what they aim to do and what is happening now.
‘Sports and Venues’ give you a list of existing venues and new venues and what their purposes are.
‘Get Involved’ is aimed to show their employment and volunteering programme and how people can register.
and ‘About us’ obviously gives information of the members of the ODA[Olympic Delivery Authority] and LOCOG [London Organising Commitee of the Olympic Games]
You can also read this leaflet which shows plans and a print of the stadium’s construction:http://www.docstoc.com/docs/1072041/2012…
Here’s a link to the image library: http://www.london2012.com/news/image-lib…
