At the end of the Beijing closing ceremony, we had a tune from my old mate Jimmy Page and Boris made an idiot of himself. Assuming they can both hang on for another 3 years (physically and politically respectively) they could give a repeat performance. Then a quick bit of Morris Dancing and we can get on with the running and jumping.

It is impossible for us to outdo the Chinese and we should not even try to, the Chinese can call on millions of ” volunteers ” that will do as they are told for almost no payment, the British would not or could not do that, the Chinese were prepared to waste an incredible amount of money as a show for the rest of the world to see how well they could do the Olympics, we should be the nation that brings the games back to reality and put on a good sporting occasion for the sake of sport not for the sake of politics, as long as we put on a good show, it matters not that it is not the best that there has been, otherwise where will it end, it is already out of control.

London can outdo the Beijing opening ceremony by making it totally real, because the Beijing ceremony was totally fake.

We’re going to put on a display of our national debt. People all over the world will be impressed.

We can’t. Lets hand it over to Paris quick. At least then we won’t have to foot the bill for it all
