Doves have announced an East Anglian date this summer as part of the Forestry Commission’s Live Music series of concerts in spectacular woodland locations around the country.
2009 saw the release of their long-awaited 4th album ‘Kingdom of Rust’, which entered the album charts at No 2. The band’s critically acclaimed debut album Lost Souls (2000) was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and was followed up by their subsequent chart-topping albums ‘The Last Broadcast’ (2002) and ‘Some Cities’ (2005).
Forestry Commission Live Music pays for itself and any profit generated goes back into improving woodlands for both wildlife and the public to enjoy.
Commenting on the date, Doves’ Jimi Goodwin said, “It was great experience playing to a sold-out crowd at Delamere Forest last summer so we are pleased to announce another forest gig for 2010.â€
Doves will be performing at:
Thetford Forest, Nr Brandon, Suffolk, Saturday 12th June.
