  1. charles says:

in the Olympics, there are only 4 weight classes that is being contested: Flyweight (under 58kgs for men and under 49kgs for women), Lightweight (58-68kgs for men and 49-57kgs for women); middleweight (68-80kgs for men and 57-67 for women) and heavyweight (above 80 for men and above 67 for women)
Since you are an Indian citizen, it is best for you to take part in your country’s national championship and try to win it so that you can earned a spot in your country’s national team. Unlike in other sports like boxing, wrestling, qualifying in taekwondo in the Olympics is a bit harder, since only 16 spots are at stake in every weight class and you have only two chances in qualifying, the World Championships, where only the top 3 places will qualify and the Asia Continental Championship where also top 3 finishers will advance.
My advice will be start your training now and participate in various international tournaments to gain experience. Good luck.
