Is George Galloway The Only Candidate Who Can Challenge Boris Johnson For The London Mayoralty In 2012?

Yes he would be a formidable opponent as you say but because of the negative press he gets he wouldn’t stand a chance of winning the whole of London. How about (despite his age) Tony Benn – he could rally the left around him and would be more acceptable than Galloway.

Heaven help us if he is. He’s a smooth corrupt liar whose tongue and quick thinking make him appear plausible.
A thoroughly unlikeable man who also, like Red Ken has a crowd of sycophants to boost his ego.
    You’ve made me think now.
Men – Tony Blair!, Vince Cable, Paddy Ashdown, Frank Field.
Women – Betty Boothroyd, Anne Widdecombe.

To be truthful;George Galloway leaves himself open for Cricitism! But I believe deep down he is a conviction politician who because of his honesty could not find a home in any mainstream political party! But saying that!Yes!I will go along with the questioner’s opening remark!

George Mohamed Galloway is never going to gain power in london. (the man has mental problems.) he would stand as the paedophiles champion if he though it would gain him TV coverage.

2012 is a long ways, away.
As an observer, I’m going to have to say, Yes!
Surprising right? Truth is the people of London wont know how good they’ve had it till a tory like Boris has sucked them dry. I mean food prices are already astoundingly high for middle classed families. And that’s with Red Ken!
Also, in listening to Talksport last week, it seems one of the platforms Boris ran on was phony. Apparently the cost of replacing those bendy-busses makes it unplausible, except over an extremely long period of time.
I say a few years of Boris – and they’ll be missing Red Ken.
