They are such sore losers. Britain, a smaller country, beat them fair and square yet all their news and press articles were saying how awful britain is, how theyre only winning cause they won 2012, and how london 2012 will be the biggest disaster. AUSSIES = SORE LOSERS

I didn’t think Australia even put in a bid for 2012.
The UK and Australia have had friendly revelry for years. The media in both countries have their bad apples.
Never believe everything the press reports esp the gutter press.
Ha ha ha, thats interesting, you asked the same question yesterday and no one agreed with you to you thought you’d try again today.
Quiet obviously you are into Aussie bashing and have a twisted view of the reality. I find it extremely difficult to beleive that Australian Fox News would portray Aussie athletes as sore losers. Like any country the media is into pumping their own nationality up in international events. I recall the Australian coverage of the Commonwealth Games when they were here. The media coverage was obscenely bias in favor of the Aussies. There would be a sport where the Aussies dont do well, the Aussie athlete would come in second last and they would get the media limelight while the international placegetters were virtually ignored, this happened on many occasions, 90% of the interviews were of Aussies. I’m an Aussie I was stunned at the extreme positive media bias in favor of the Aussie athletes. I think you just have issues and get a kick out of bagging the Aussies. You have no credability with me unfortunately. Keep asking though, sooner or later you’ll find someone who agrees with you.
I dont think Aussies are sore losers.
Britain is geographically smaller but has more than 3 times the population of Australia. Having a larger talent pool they should win 3 times more medals, I very much doubt that’s the case. Australians are well known for an unproportionately high medal tally compared to their population.
Why should 2012 have any bearing on an athletes performance, wouldn’t they give absolutly everything to win?
I think Americans are sore losers. The coach of the US swim team accused Australians of cheating when they were so far ahead at the olympics in China, the truth is that the Aussies were not unusually fast, it’s just that the American swimmers were slower than previous years as records showed so they called us cheats to draw attention away from their own failings.
When Australia 2 won the Americas Cup the Americans accused us of cheating and said Ben Lexen was not capable of desighning a yacht which could win the cup.
Keep in mind that news reports are often unrepresentative of the general public opinion, they’re in the business of getting ratings, not telling the truth. Are these news reports from Australian media or British?
Britain has 60 million people, the Aussies have about 20m, we should beat them, but normally we don’t.
There are plenty of articles in this country about the ridiculous cost of the 2012 Olympics and this country doesn’t exactly have a great recent history on big projects does it – Wembley, Holyrood, Millenium dome, etc all late and vastly over budget.
The British will top Australia at London 2012, as they are pumping twice as much money into the development of their athletes (over 500 million pounds). A huge amount of money for the simple purpose of ‘proving’ to the world your nation is ‘sporty’. That kind of push stinks of cultural insecurity and desperation if you ask me (and the millions of people in Britain who could use this money for so many things)….
