This is an excellent collection of one of the most popular and influential rock bands of all time, though it omits “We Are the Champions” and “Fat Bottomed Girls” (these, however, can be found on the Greatest Hits album, which together with Classic Queen gets you a comprehensive selection of their work). There’s some great stuff here, including rockers like “Hammer to Fall,” “Stone Cold Crazy,” “I Want It All,” “Headlong,” and the hilarious “Tie Your Mother Down.” There’s also a good sampling of ballads, performed with an energy and sincerity that sets them apart: “Who Wants to Live Forever” is sorrowfully beautiful, and “The Show Must Go On” is only echoed by songs like Queensryche’s “Is There Anybody Listening.” Rounding things off is a fine selection of the unclassifiable, such as “Under Pressure,” “I’m Going Slightly Mad,” and “Radio Ga Ga.” –Genevieve Williams

The Classic Queen CD should be burned! It was horrible, and listening to the lyrics made me want to cringe. They have horrible lyrics, along with corny pop beats. I hate almost every song on the CD. I liked the last song because I knew that the CD would soon be over.

This CD ignores some of the best loved Queen material of all songs like “We Are The Champions” & “Bohemian Rhapsody” dont waste your money and buy “The Plantinium Collection” which is about 100x better!

Hollywood Records decides to ruin the great song “The Miracle” by editing it (that is, cutting 30 seconds of it) which essentially ruins the whole purpose of the song. Plus, it has such hits that are on Queen Greatest Hits II such as “Innuendo” (the best song Queen has ever made), “It’s A Hard Life”, “Breakthru”, “The Invisible Man”, and “Friends will be Friends” which as a whole are much better than the Classic Queen selection of “Stone Cold Crazy” “One Year of Love” “Tie Your Mother Down” and “Keep Yourself Alive”

Essentially this is Hollywood Records ruining the great works of Queen and their overall ignorance when it comes to selecting Classic songs.

I recamend this album to any and every one. Any one who is new to Queen music should listen to this album. It is perfect because I feel that it got me ready yo listen to Queens harder stuff like “Sheer Heart Attack”. If I would have listened to one of there songs like that I probally just let them go all together. So I give this album 5 stars because of how it got me ready to really listen to Queen. So new Queen fans out there you shuld go and buy this album

This Cd is the greatest, a friend got me into Queen and I’ve been doing the same. Tracks 13 and 14 are by far the best on the CD.
