I saw a swarm of ant in my kitchen and they were scabbing food of my rubbish bin and I happen to saw an ant double the size of normal black ants, do I assume this is the queen ant or army ant?

Saving...
The ant queen is sure to have a crown on her head, and the worker ant will be carrying a bundle on its back.
No the queen ant doesn’t usually leave their chamber, sometimes never leaving. They are a lot bigger but they often have a huge abdomen and aren’t nearly as mobile. That’s why when a queen is leaving to start a new colony they’ll actually stop producing eggs so they’re able to physically handle the move.
Yes the queen is usually bigger. But seldom ever seen away from nest. Use borax and sugar to get rid of them.
