I mean, let’s face it. Yes, the Olympics is getting specail attention because of Phelps this year, but normally the Superbowl is getting way more attention than the Olympics. Why is this?

It doesn’t. Maybe in the U.S.A., but only because they like football more than any of the other sports.
1 billion people watched the United States vs China basketball match. The Superbowl has not even been CLOSE to reaching that caliber of viewers!
Superbowl is way less popular than the Olympics. The Superbowl may be more popular in the U.S., but internationally the Olympics would be chosen over the Superbowl.
Nah. The Superbowl gets more ratings because it’s one night the olympics are not. The olympics are very popular here.
In America, Superbowl more popular than the Olympics to me… but Worldwide Olympics is
since you asked that question, im guessin your also american. Your right, to us americans the superbowl is the best event around, but to the rest of the world, olympics is the biggest thing. I guess we’re born with football in our blood.
Im sure if there was football in the olympics, we would put olympics on top then superbowl second
No. NBA FINALs>sUPERBOWL
Because it is FOOTBALL…The Best Sport in the World!!!
before school starts can be a hassle for many people but superbowl sunday is more organized and not spread out && the superbowl isnt rigged.
Olympics are way more popular then super bowl. the Olympics are on TV everyday on lots of different TV channels
Are you serious?
Let me guess, only an American would say that. I can think of several sports that are watched by greater numbers than the super bowl every weekend.
Internationally, the Olympics has many more who are interested in viewing the majority of events (am not sure how many are interested in watching volleyball other than the men who watch to leer at the girls). The popularity of football, in the USA, is a cultural thing – same as baseball although it, now, may be more popular in Japan (per capita). Another thing is that the Superbowl is at the apex of business entertainment when it comes to public relations value and is the one event on which more money is spent on gambling than any other. I’m a football fan but it comes second to tennis, in my book, especially Davis Cup and Federation Cup (both of which are, yearly, country vs. country events). The golf tournaments are, definitely, of international interest – in every country I’ve lived, the ‘natives’ seemed to know every player’s handicap.
Thanks for your interesting question.
what is superbowl???-_-; I don’t know what that is….if super bawl is more popular than olympic, How come I don’t even know what that is then?
