Only 430whp and 283tq? That’s almost $1,000 per WHP. Is a superflow dyno equivalent to a Mustang Dyno?

Incredible car none the less, Pure sex besides being a bit underpowered IMO.

I got chills listening to it on the dyno, one of my favourite sounds in the world is a great exhaust note!

straight line power comes cheap. I could upgrade a civic to 500hp+ for probably around $20k in mod. but how many cars can corner or brake better than LFA?

    lateral g 1. 05 damn!

  9. buttnut1080 says:

Why even bring that up? I don’t like the LFA but a super car video without anyone mentioning the ZR1 or GTR would be nice; especially when people like you say either are better. That’s like saying a zodiac is better than a 60 ft sport yacht because its faster; that doesn’t mean its the better vehicle.

    supra otw huh

  11. Miike92 says:

@wazini23 i dont think thats the real production version they should really test it when it comes out into production. Plus the LFA couldnt beat a GTR with just 430 horsepower drag racing

@tyronnezx Believe it or not, basic econo-boxes will at some point have carbon fiber. With safety regulations continuously getting higher and higher, cars have gotten pretty heavy. The only way to lose the weight and increase mpg while keeping safety high is to use lightweight composites. Also, one reason we don’t see more carbon being used is because it’s hard to mold, and expensive. Toyota is ahead of the pack in carbon fiber production. Sooner or later, it will be cheaply mass produced.

  13. mcglo says:

@buttnut1080 i was just saying it would beat it in a drag race, and performance wise a ZR1 still leads this car in about every category statistically. but i actually like the LFA better than the ZR1, it may lose with the specs, but the car is unique and an incredible engineering feat.

    BRAKE SOLD SEPARATELY

  15. mcglo says:

@hajimekishi wheel horsepower, not from the engine crank. the camaro probably measures around 300 whp.

  16. wazini23 says:

@JaymezSPCM Uh, no, 430. 3 hp at the wheels. 552hp at the crank.

  17. FILIPINOCD says:

    Top Gear was first

  18. toyotas2006 says:

BTW, Motor Trend keeps listing the LF-A’s curb weight incorrectly at over 3500 lbs
It weighs 3263, according to Lexus.
Might be one reason it stops in 94 ft
This copy is pre-production, not official.

  19. JaymezSPCM says:

@Miike92 Uh, no, it has 430. 3 hp. Check 1:08

  20. RangelSotero says:

@Miike92 I know, I agree w/ you. But most people don’t think that way :-/ I say that the buyer of the LFA is someone who already have one or two Ferraris or Porsches [whatever] in the garage and want to “invest” in something new xD I recognize that the car is expensive, but I also recognize that it has the reasons to cost so much. [not talking about performance, but technology]

  21. rocketballa4life says:

i’d love 200 more horsepower. id love 200 more whore’s power even more

  22. Bumblebee7113 says:

    @metalman1193 THANK YOU FOR SAYING THAT!!! and whats sad. . . the zr1 has a v8 instead of a v10. . . . and still kills it. . . haha

  23. NinjaixX2525 says:

this car doesn’t have the same down gear pur as the Ferrari 355 Spider F1

  24. jesustorres85 says:

    fucking gorgeous sounding exhaust

  25. Miike92 says:

@RangelSotero thats the beauty of the LFA, they have a moderate engine size and pushed out 550 horsepower out of it and it weighs liek a v6. Any car company can make a big engine with big horsepower. LFA is faster than a 599 trackwise too
