just a comment on KD, she uses a microphone you would hang over a drum kit, no vocal effects what so ever. An incredible singer.

can anyone tell me how many people were in the audience on this occasion, it is TRULY AMAZING that any singer can perform such an incredibly BIG song in front of so many people, WOW !! and do it SO WELL !! How daunting would it be for her ???!!!
KD lang has a god given gift and i think we are privleged to hear this.
This is one of those songs i love to listen to all the time. KD Lang did such a wonderful job singing this song at our Winter Olympics. She not only gave The world a treat but gave Canada a Gold. . WE should all be proud of her, for not only singing the song herself. . ( brian adams shame on your) but she sang it with such passion. Thank you KD lang. . . for this beautiful performance.

Not only did she sing great, she actually sang live unlike everyone else I saw during the opening ceremony. She had the hardest song to sing and sounded better than everyone else who lip synced to pre-recorded crap.
She is SPECTACULAR. No one could pull this off the way kd lang does.

nice comment estimator, I live north of Vancouver and went to the Opening Ceremony at BC Place. I think KD was the big highlight in a great show. The media coverage the next day was really negative, so it’s nice to hear that people watching on TV liked it too. Lots of Canadians and Americans there that night.
I’d never listened to her much, but I was watching the ceremony, this came on and my jaw hit the floor. Brilliant.

I fell asleep during the ceremony but woke up during this song and it was kinda weird cuz i thought i dreamed it, and i sorta did, but when i woke up it was there too.
