EVERGREEN Datuk Yusni Hamid is popularly known as keroncong queen and royal singer. Born in 1951 in Kampung Semarang, Kuala Lumpur, she began her singing career as a regular at the Kuala Lumpur Lake Club from 1969 to 1980, and subsequently at the Regent Hotel, Jalan Bukit Bintang, until 1992.
