Three Special Olympics athletes from Europe participated in the Unity Cup presented by the Coca-Cola Company together with Special Olympics on Saturday, July 3rd during the FIFA World Cup. Manolis Tampakakis from Greece, Dejan Radu from Serbia and Miran Brejc from Slovenia played alongside 13 other SO athletes from around the world, football legends and celebs, including his Excellency President Zuma, at Cape Town stadium before the quarterfinal of the FIFA World Cup. Keeping with the theme of “unity” the match fittingly ended in a 2-2 draw.
