Yes after about 15 years without any accident whatsoever (that i used to rub in the other pilots noses) I spun the Vega on landing by allowing one wing to touch some high grass. The tail broke and it cost the club quite a bit to have it fixed. . . . i have since learned to land the WHOLE glider on the runway. . . . . luckily I have since moved to Austria and i cant hear the remarks any more. . .
Nice video! I also flew Ka8b before it crashed on our field during a winch departure. Because our club didn’t manage to get it repaired, I was since then allowed to fly the Junior SZD 51-1.
