Very well, as everyone knows the recession started in the Bush era and was the result of conservative policies.

You sure have a cynical view of things. The Olympics have been a tremendous economic boon in every American city they’ve taken place in. Including the Salt Lake City games, which turned a net profit despite being knee-deep in corruption.
Although I’d like to know when during the trip he diminished the prestige of the country for his own ego, because based on his speech he seemed to do the complete opposite. I think it would have looked worse had he not stood in support of America’s bid.

These people were never around when Bush was pushing the Olympics and Chicago. I voted for Obama because I knew he would be the best person to represent the United States and that is what he did. Just because he is a great leader for the US does not change the fact Rio still deserves a chance to host the Olympics too. I was rooting for Chicago but Congratulations to our southern neighbors down in Rio. ~

There’s no other way to counter willful idiocy. I can be extremely reasonable and civil, but willful idiocy has a way to set me off. Want to have a discussion on the facts? Fine. People that resort to questioning the value and legitimacy of my military service just because they can’t really hold a rational, well-informed discussion based on facts deserve nothing but insults.
