As an ordinary citizen, Kate Middleton will arrive at her wedding on April 29 by car, specifically the Rolls Royce Phantom VI. But when she leaves, she will officially be royalty and will depart, appropriately, by carriage. The State Landau carriage is 109 years old and was built for King Edward VII, and it is most frequently used by Queen Elizabeth when she is entertaining visiting heads of state.
