The slip of a see-through dress, which Kate modelled at The University of St Andrews charity show back in 2002, has sold for a massive £78,000 – eight times more than the estimated sale price.
The auction attracted interest from around the world, including buyers from as far away as the USA and Asia. However it was a mystery buyer, apparently a collector from Jersey, who outbid the rest to claim this unique part of British Royal fashion history.
Is Kate Middleton destined to be a style icon in the eyes of the world? We’d love to hear your views, make a comment here or email info@theroyalweddingwilliamkate.com
