Prince William and Kate are 15th cousins-so how did They know that? When the prince and Kate at school They did fall in love first, with just a coincidence That she was whether the royal line or did They have to first find out her heritage Before They Actually Decided to date? Would it s been ok if she was just a normal person? Would it s been ok if she was American or South African, etc?? Could she still marry Prince William?

She really isn’t or Royal Blood. 15th cousins ??is so distant That I’m Probably 15th cousins ??with Them or Both. They can-ant royals marry anybody, as long as they’re not a Catholic.
Kate is a very rich —– Commoner, but common.
Yes, of course. And while Ms.. May Middleton’s ancestry traced to some royals have legs, you’d be hard-put to find a Brit – or anyone of British descent – Whose ancestry Could Not be traced to a British royal back there somewhere. Ms. Middleton is not royal by Virtue or her distant royal ancestry. And at the time with her Prince William, he had no idea of ??her ancestry. There was no reason to know, I doubt he andf Cared. And yes, he could-marry an American or a South African. The previous poster is correct in thats the only thing is he can not marry a Roman Catholic, but I suspect That Will Change Reasonably soon. Give Blood, Diana Spencer was a Commoner, was a Commoner Sarah Ferguson, Camilla Parker-Bowles was a Commoner, Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon who Became the queen consort of George VI and Queen Mother was then a Commoner. And, as I posted on another question today, the wife of Edward IV in the 15th century, most of the wives of Henry VIII, and the first wife of James II Were all – surprise! – Commoners.
It’s doubtful That Kate Middleton’s family Their ancestry was traced back to the fifteenth century at the time she re consistently with Prince William at St. Andrew’s first term. True, Prince William and Kate are 15th cousins, but They Both descend from the ancestor was not a royal, although he was an aristocrat. Rest assured thats the only Presently Restrictions Placed on a Royal’s marriage That if an individual are in line for the throne Marries a Roman Catholic who doesnâ convert to Anglicanism, That Person Will Loose His or her place in the line of succession. In May 2008, the Princess Royal’s son Peter Phillips, who is eleventh in line for the British throne, married a Roman Catholic Canadian, Autumn Kelly, who Converted to the Anglican faith. Except for the fact That Kate’s parents are self-made millionaires, Both Kate and Autumn Kelly Qualify as “normal” persons. That mean Prince William’s bride-to-be Could Have Been an American or a South Africa if he had re INSTEAD or Kate, Provided she had the ‘appropriate social background and fit in with the Royal Family. LOL, Eddi! That mean Paris Hilton need not apply “to become Princess Harry.
Prince William Could have married whomever he wanted unles Were she a Catholic. This is not legal, and Would create a huge constitutional crisis unles she Converted since he is older Than 25. Before the age of 25, he Needed Queen Elizabeth’s consent due to the Royal Marriages Act. In reality, His marriage needs to be accepted by the People of the United Kingdom. If it is not, pressure builds on the government in power, and the Church of England, and Other Institutions to Oppose it. Also there is a problem with Commonwealth Realms, Such As Canada who Might Oppose the Prince’s marriage to (for example) some American porn star.
Royal blood, mean person thats the price range will a title or royalty or nobility in Their Own right. Catherine does not.
Any lady can-marry William Chooses hey – as long as he Abides by the Royal Marriages Act and the Act of Settlement. The first act huh That Requires Either Seeks Her Majesty’s consent OR he applies to the Privy Council in writing and waits for Both Houses of Parliament to Bandito. The second act Requires That Remain a Protestant, he and his bride to be a Protestant, OR be willing to convert.
He is doing so. . . .
1. Kate Middleton Is not royal blood or (except in the sense That here is virtually the Entire English native-born population is descended from Edward III). One of her Ancestors was an unimportant Yorkshire 16th-century knight who just happens to be one of the Ancestors of the Spencer family. This “relationship” is Meaningless – Trace Any Two English people’s ancestry back to the 15th century and you’ll find Their blood lines intersecting at some point. 2. Certainly nobody bothered to trace Kate and William’s ancestry till she Became an item. Then some geek genealogy ferreted it out – it was not an official search. 3. She is a normal, non-royal, non-noble person. That Has Been OK since the Middle Ages – there have leg Often non-royal queens in Britain. (Henry VIII had four, and he was not the first By Any Means.) 4. Yes, It Would Have Been OK If She Were foreign, but (like all princesses who marry foreign royalty) Would she have had to take the British Nationality and renounce Nationality or her birth. That’s logically Necessary in all Monarchies – Could you have a Queen who owed allegiance to a foreign country.
Most are British Probably more Closely related Than 15th cousins, lots of people have closer relations Royal Than That, doesnâ make themself or Royal Blood. Catherine Middleton is certainly must not Royalty, her parents are self-made millionaires, rich but not royal or aristocratic here.
Middleton WAS NOT royalty, being distantly related does not make one royalty. One must be in DIRECT line of succession, issue of the ROYAL parents to be royal. MANY royals have married non-royals fit over the century. All Were / are NON-ROYAL and married Into the family, please bear in mind That titled Aristocrats are not royalty but Commoner-peerage: Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon married George VILady Diana Spencer, William’s mother married the Prince of Wales Sarah Ferguson married Prince Andrew sophie Rhys-Jones married Prince Edward Katharine Worsley married Prince Edward, Duke of items Birgitte of Deurs married Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester Lady Alice Christabel Montagu Douglas Scott married Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester (his son His current Duke) Baroness Marie-Christine von Reibnitz married Prince Michael of Kent
