Then you do not know who Phoebe Snow! This is the song that put her on the map honey! She went on 15 albums all messages except one which is called Rockaway on CD She was a Musical Genius Sultry Sassy and I knew her personally, she was a friend of mine that I will miss the rest of my life. . Barbara. . .
What a voice. What a devoted mother. Rip.
@ Jimbo8137 her song evokes the memory of the college, and yet I am only in my second year. Is not it amazing how two people with bulky years between them at one time a number that may refer to memory? Phoebe Snow is an artist I certainly think the same effect on later generations. The kind that will live forever.
I love this song. Reminds me of driving through the Netherlands.
this is my frist time hearing this great voice, and my reaction to this song is a mixture of love and sorrow. sadness the passing of such a voice, and sorrow for my generation, the music is not the same soul. but the love of a woman’s life hardship faced with such delight. R. I. P

Such a beautiful song. I will miss her, but I’m glad she is with her daughter again. Rest in peace.
to think this beautiful person is no longer here on earth goodbye we will miss you phoebe
Very sorry to hear of her recent passing, rest in peace, Phoebe! A nice and carring lady-she personally cared for her brain damaged daughter for years until she died. Great memories of the 70′s every time I hear this beautiful song. It is ironic that they moved away from easy-listening music to more jazz-pop flavors (and even gospel) to the latter.
Such a beautiful song from the beautiful person you and your daughter can find peace at The Other Side forever together we will always remember your voice, like an angel. . .

Phoebe’s music brings me back to a kinder, gentler era, hence the haunting sound of her. RIP
Howard Stern has a touching tribute to his good friend Phoebe on his show. Amazing voice.

Phoebe Snow, empress of the blues. . . RIP Phoebe.
@ Pdxktv I totally agree! I listen to it on my Shure in-ear monitors, and reverb on the vocals is unreal! The performance is what really defines it, it’s just perfect on a techincal level, and an emotional level. It’s so emotional, it’s really beautiful.? It’s a great scheme. The harp is perfectly mixed and panned, and hand percussion is simply stellar! This is one of the most thoughtful arrangements I can ever remember hearing.
