Pre-dawn preparations took place uesterday (Wednesday), as up to 1,000 members of the Army, Navy and RAF participated in a full walk through and dress rehearsal, in advance of the Royal Wedding.

All the members of the Armed Forces involved in the wedding were on parade at 4.30am, dressed in full ceremonial uniform, to march along the route.  Horses and carriages also took part in the pre-wedding procession to Westminster Abbey.

The Abbey closed its doors to the public on Tuesday so that preparations for the wedding, including a final rehearsal for William and Catherine, a music rehearsal and full dress rehearsal for clergy can take place.

The eyes of the world will be on Prince William and Catherine on Friday 29 April.
