President Obama’s “bin-Laden bounce” short-lived, but still positive
News that US special forces had located and killed Osama bin-Laden was greeted with almost universal praise in the United States. Possible Republican challengers in 2012 Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty and Rudy Giuliani all gave credit to the President and the military and intelligence services involved in the operation. Even Dick Cheney offered his congratulations to the President.
