Do you think That Will he abdicate and pass it on to Prince William and Princess Catherine Middleton? with the ever growing popularity of the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, would not it be a wise and strategically correct move, for many Reasons. I meant to say the Queen, obviously the Queen’s mother passed away Already does anyone know how to read on here ???!!! Clearly I made a typing mistake in my question which i pointed OUT!

Does not matter if the queen mom dies, only the queen. No, I do not think he’ll abdicate, he’s Waited way too long for the throne. Mommy Should Have stepped down long ago and let her son have the throne. Besides, I think she’s planning on handing it to outliving William Charles and herself.
There is nothing for Charles to abdicate. He does not have a throne. No. When he is king, he will not abdicate. The Queen Mother passed away in 2002. So. . . Is not she going to pass away again. Kate will not have any claim to the throne. Charles can not pass it to THEM. Only to William. But it’s a moot point. He will not do that. He Has Been waiting 62 years to be king. Is not he going to “pass” on the position. No. It would not be a “wise and strategically correct move”, nor would it follow any sort of logic. * Edit * It Would Be Difficult to read something That was posted AFTER I posted my answer. Seriously. . . you people are getting out of control.
Not at all dear girl, I’ve Waited far too long for this job to give it up now!
How would anyone but Charles know this? It’s not like Charles Will take a poll and just do what everyone says, or at least I hope not, I think he’s a little more astute than That, and why does he need strategy or a strategic move ? are they playing wizard chess or something?
Of this there can be no doubt. I am smooth, That You have the insight and the wisdom to see the truth of this.
The Queen Mother died nine years ago. Please get your facts right, as if the Queen Mother died, it would not make a difference. It’s the QUEEN That makes a difference
To become king must be a great honor and I am sure That Will Charles have His time of a decade or two before he passes the kingdom onto William. I think it would be a great move to keep people interested in the Royal family but I do believe Charles will love to be king for a while.
Will the inheritance just run it’s course with Charles and Camilla Becoming King Will Either be Princess Consort or Queen consort. They Are not as popular as the Cambridges and They Could Easily Out Shine Them since They Are so young. They Will most likely take on many of His Father’s Duties since They have energy to spare. But to be honest it’s hard to tell if the QE II Will outlive her son. My great grandmother age (98) outlived my grandmother (76). It was sad to see my great grandmother having to bury her daughter. I hope It does not happen to the Royal family like it did mine.
Read your history. Abdication is worse than death. For no reason would a member of the Family do that. Just remember and this study: King Edward VIII
No, he will not. the monarchy is NOT a popularity contest (some would say, unfortunately) has won or lost on That rating.
Not a chance. One of the great strengths of the British monarchy is it’s adherence to tradition. And, Do Not Monarchs simply abdicate for Their Children. In fact the vows would actually PreventAssist They make this. Monarchy is not a popularity contest. Especially as it can come and go: Charles was once popular as Easily as William is now, and Could be again. Popularity comes and goes, but, the monarchy HAS endured for nearly 1000 years.
Not a chance pal, as much chance as Obama is talking sense, and we all know thats an Impossibility, dont we?
I think Charles intending to be King, but I think it Will be more of a case of a WHEN the Queen dies. If it was tomorrow Charles would become King with out a doubt. 10-15 years time then it might as well be Decides That he’s pretty.
No. Prince Charles can only abdicate once he’s King Charles III, but why would you? He’s had years to train for the job, Has Been One of the best Princes of Wales in our history (despite all the unfortunate events in His private life), and he’s much better prepared for the Certainly Kingship That William. What has just done to justify the William opinion he’d be a better King? Is it just because he Appears to be more popular at the moment? Charles was extremely popular at 30 as well, Will William be just as popular When He’s 65 as he’s now? In any case, British Monarchy is an institution, NOT a popularity contest, if we are going to “select” our Monarchs base on Their current popularity ratings, we might as well as get rid of the whole thing.
Camilla will not allow it. She can not wait to get her hands on That Royal Doulton with the hand painted Periwinkles.
That being the Queen is so caught up in duty and tradition herself, we can almost be assured That she, herself, will not abdicate in favor of “retirement”. There was Such a stigma about the fact of Edward’s abdication for a mere woman that i can not imagine it ever taking place so That can take a vacation Elizabeth When She pleases. And as for Charles, hey May Be When He Becomes older king, but Camilla would most likely kill him rather than allow him to abdicate. The thought of being some young tart queen in place of her would drive her over the edge I’m sure.
Should I think not dear girl. I’ll wager Prince Charles will do His Duty and take the throne When His turn comes. You see, He is well qualified to be King, as if His popularity is not sky high. Strategically, you are correct. Perhaps it would be a good move to abdicate in Favour of William the Monarchy to Ensure Remains Perhaps popular and relevant to the masses, but I believe Charles and Camilla will do a good job, and in all likelihood They Will not actually be around for all That long anyway. Your question made perfect sense. It is obvious to most of us what you Meant.
NO. he wont. I do wish you would understand Charles Americans Will See The Holy throne as a duty, as the Queen does. Thats why there was a foul Such When Edward abdicated 7th. He just wont. Pass it on
