Usain Bolt: Why I love London so much
Written on:August 8, 2011
Usain Bolt has revealed why he loves London so much and cannot wait for the Olympic Games next year.
The 24-year-old 100 and 200metre world-record holder admitted that there are certain places in the world where he cannot go out on the street but the capital is not one of them.
"I get mobbed in Asia," he said, but there is one place nobody recognises him. "Teddington," he laughed, citing the quiet west London suburb where he trains. "Everywhere but Teddington!"
In an exclusive interview for the launch issue of upmarket sports magazine, PODIUM, the Jamaican also revealed he will be keeping a close eye on one of Britain's great hopes for gold in 2012 during the World Athletics Championships in Daegu later this month.
