For the first of this year’s collaborations with mjf, we present a genuine ‘supergroup’ which brings together two of the UK’s finest musicians with two great stars of the US jazz scene.

Gwilym Simcock has been name-checked as a ‘genius’ by Chick Corea and has worked extensively throughout Europe with top jazz artists, including Dave Holland, Kenny Wheeler, Lee Konitz and Bill Bruford’s Earthworks. Mike Walker needs no introduction to Mancunian listeners and is regarded as one of Europe’s most exciting guitarists, having worked with George Russell, the Creative Jazz Orchestra, Vince Mendoza, Anthony Braxton and Bill Frisell. Steve Swallow’s illustrious career spans decades of playing with many of the jazz greats – John Scofield, Carla Bley, Chris Potter and many others. Steve and his long-time friend and rhythm section partner Adam Nussbaum have worked on many projects together. Adam’s work with Michael Brecker won a Grammy in 1988; he was last seen in Manchester at the RNCM in 2008 with Mike’s project Ropes.

Â
This is a brand new project for which Gwilym, Mike and Steve have been writing new music feverishly over the past few months. Expect edge-of-your-seat virtuosity, high energy performances and the kind of chemistry that is generated when such world-class artists perform together.

www.fateswarning.com Awaken the Guardian – Giant’s Lore 2012 – Solar Storms – Solar Maximum umbra.nascom.nasa.gov Current solar images LOL Wondering how big these events are relative to the earth? umbra.nascom.nasa.gov en.wikipedia.org www-istp.gsfc.nasa.gov www.jesuslives.co.za It is midnight on 22 September 2012 and the skies above Manhattan are filled with a flickering curtain of colourful light. Few New Yorkers have seen the aurora this far south but their fascination is short-lived. Within a few seconds, electric bulbs dim and flicker, then become unusually bright for a fleeting moment. Then all the lights in the state go out. Within 90 seconds, the entire eastern half of the US is without power. A year later and millions of Americans are dead and the nations infrastructure lies in tatters. The World Bank declares America a developing nation. Europe, Scandinavia, China and Japan are also struggling to recover from the same fateful event – a violent storm, 150 million kilometres away on the surface of the sun. It sounds ridiculous. Surely the sun couldnt create so profound a disaster on Earth. Yet an extraordinary report funded by NASA and issued by the US National Academy of Sciences (NAS) in January this year claims it could do just that.

A fantastic family weekend of exhilarating motorsport, historic and modern racing cars and bikes, racing powerboats and helicopter displays and demonstrations.

Taking place in the glorious grounds of Cholmondeley Castle the Pageant combines speed, nerve and flair with exceptional design and engineering. Since 2007 it has been the ambition of the Pageant of Power to showcase the best of historic and contemporary automotive power, whether on Land, Sea or Air.

Central to the action is the 3 mile circuit within the Park grounds of Cholmondeley Castle where over 150 cars and bikes compete, spanning seven decades of motorsports.

On the adjoining Deer Park Mere, the Pageant hosts the largest gathering of inshore racing power boats in the UK, World Champion Jet Ski Demonstrations and Rib rides are also on offer!Â

In the air the largest helicopter event in Europe combines with dramatic and gravity defying aerobatic displays.

The Military might on display this year will be more impressive than ever before with opportunities to watch combat power in action, look inside battle winning equipment and train with serving soldiers during the days and listen to magnificent marching bands at the Tattoo on Saturday night.

All this combined with the fantastic shopping, activities and refreshments make this the unmissable event of the year!

Admission to gardens is included at event prices.

In a proper proposal sent to the International Olympic Committee or (IOC) in 1907. Rosen here explained his theories and formally requested that equestrian events be included in the Olympiads. He in fact wanted the equestrian events to begin in the next Olympics that would be taking place in London,England in the 1908 Olympics. Luckily for the sport and Rosen’s persistence, The IOC agreed these events would be very welcome indeed to the Olympics. Great news was a happening, Equestrian event were forth coming and announcements sent. To the dismay, enthusiasm was not correctly estimated from the Committees standpoint. The IOC only considered around 25 to 30 horses. The actual amount of entrants ended up being 88 horses from eight different global locations, This was a storm upon the IOC. Such an eager response was not anticipated, There was no place to stable and exercise that many horses.

Another problem would be found in the judging issues, Each nation had separate ideas on how the competition events should be judged. With to much for the IOC to handle, the committee had no choice but to cancel the equestrian competition.

Despite the fact that seemed to be useless for the horses that traveled the long trip, Count von Rosen saw his vision of spectators and competitors alike wanting these equestrian events. The Count immediately went to planning a equestrian competition to be included in the upcoming 1912 Olympics. It was in 1909 that Count von Rosen formed an International Committee to select equestrian events. Prince Carl of Sweden, an important member of the committee, also an avid horseman and host to be of the upcoming games. With Prince Carl’s help, Count von Rosen was successful with his committee and finally his equestrian events made there long awaited debut at the 1912 games in Stockholm,Sweden.

International competition in itself was still in baby stages, and the high cost of transport prohibited much of Europe from competition in the 1932 in Los Angeles. World War II again disrupted the games, For years this appeared to dismay Count von Rosen’s efforts as failing. However after WWII, Olympic games resumed with much renewed interest. Ever since the 1948 Olympic Games in London, the equestrian events have grown into today with great anticipation, participation and vigor with each Olympiad. Most entry’s in the beginning were military cavalry, of course today these have been replaced by highly talented civilian riders of all types. There was also a period of years, that only mean rode. This however changed in the 1952 Olympic games, Marjorie B. Haynes became the first female to ride and compete with the United States Equestrian Team. She represented the US at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki, Finland. Today we see that men and women ride as teammates, They also compete against each other as equals.

Todays modern equestrian competition consists of three judging points:

Dressage

Three-Day Eventing

Show Jumping

In each of these, medals are given and awarded for both individual and team achievement. Though there have been changes in formats over the years, these are exactly the same disciplines first selected by Count von Rosen in 1912.

If its only to read and study about the history and love of things Equestrian.

It still holds a lot of information and learning potential for your mind to develop on something new.

See the potential and learn about things that are Equestrian today.

Know where to hide in 2012. Learn the safe places for 2012. Learn to survive in 2012 disasters. Are we safe for 2012? Where is the safest place for 2012? Where to hide in 2012? Find all the facts here.
Unfortunately with geophysical impact of the magnitude associated with a polar shift and its direct result, we shouldn’t look in our own backyards or familiar places to withstand the disaster of such a global catastrophe.

Altitude is not always a solid solution because the crust of the Earth will move and redraw the worldmap as we know it. Lower lands will most likely be inundated completely and certain maintain ranges will crumble as others will rise. There will be tidal waves of about 2 kilometers (7000 feet) high wiping away any and all structures standing. Besides massive destruction, everything will be flooded which excludes surviving subterranean. Let’s browse through major areas on Earth to understand what makes them so dangerous and exclude them for survival places in 2012.

Australia is no option since there will be a collapse of mountain ranges (which currently are over 2000 meters yet no longer when the Earth crust shift manifests). It will sink and be flooded in its totally offering very low survival chances. In addition, the high mountains are all natural parks on which you can’t build bunkers or stockpile survival material. How long do you think you can survive without food, material, etc.? Papua New Guinea had a land bridge with Australia after the previous cataclysm. Then the ice melted and the land bridge disappeared. When studying the polar shift map, we can conclude that Australia will be close to the new polar circle making it virtually impossible to survive due to its extreme cold weather, snow and ice.

Canada and the USA will be amongst the worst affected areas on Earth. As a result of the polar shift, Canada and a large part of the US will be under the pole circle. Besides this, Yellowstone houses a supervolcano which will erupt and cause massive destruction through lava covering large areas prior to the area being covered under ice. Nuclear reactors will burst and melt causing a true nuclear Armageddon (see image of nuclear plants that will be affected).

South America overall has little optimistic outlook since the Earth’s axis in these parts of the world will undergo the biggest shift, resulting in phenomenal earthquakes and volcanic outbursts. So we will encounter a real doomsday scenario here. However it is possible to survive if you stay at least 100 kilometers from volcanoes at an altitude of at least 3,000 meters. Another positive element is that only few nuclear facilities exist throughout South America.

Europe isn’t much better off than the US is with its extensive arsenal of nuclear facilities and several volcanoes. The climate will also shift dramatically so even if one would survive, it probably wouldn’t be for a long time before food and extreme cold weather claims the lives of most survivors. The good news is that Europeans do have some areas that are safer than others and those are reachable by road unlike some other safe areas in lesser developed countries. One of those safe locations is the Sierra Nevada, the southern mountain range known today for its most southern ski point in Europe. Downsides are that most peaks and higher areas are either popular ski resorts which are very expensive to acquire larger pieces of land and for the majority of non-ski resort areas, the government declared it as nature preserves. This makes it hard to make the due preparations of infrastructure and stockpile reserves in advance.

Asia and in particular South East Asia will be impacted by major volcano eruptions and nuclear meltdowns. History shows us past lava coverage of entire countries which terminated all life in those areas. Tidal waves are another problem that will be hard to overcome.

This leaves us with Africa as this is the most stable continent and this has been proven throughout the existence of the planet. Just open a world atlas and find the evolution of the global landmasses. This will quickly teach you that this continent has shifted the least of all continents, which can easily be attributed to the low number of vault lines and volcanoes present. Yet not all Africa is safe ground for this coming cataclysm. Same characteristics need to be taken into consideration when finding your safe haven for 2012.

With very few volcanoes and only one nuclear reactor (Cape Town, South Africa), the quest is on to find the ideal location more than 2,300 meters above sea level. The biggest backdrop is the poorly developed infrastructure and also the presence of fatal diseases such as malaria and cholera. Most transportation of supplies and infrastructural elements will have to be done by road. Roads are in most places hardly developed and put extra stress on getting ready in time for the 2012 events. In some countries additional political instability or even civil wars can make it impossible to even acquire or develop land to be suitable for survival.

However nothing is impossible as long as you choose the right destination. Time is not on our side, which this time is more relevant than ever before. Currently we have a survival group that is working around the clock and against the clock to establish a sustainable survival scenario. We encourage you to take part in such activities if you are expecting to live on and help maintain the human race on this planet.
