I mean, let’s face it. Yes, the Olympics is getting specail attention because of Phelps this year, but normally the Superbowl is getting way more attention than the Olympics. Why is this?

Michael Phelps has accomplished a seemingly impossible feat, winning eight gold medals at the Beijing Olympic games. That is the most gold medals ever won by an athlete in a single Olympic games! The real thing is, within couple of months, nobody will talk about Michael Phelps. Actually the similar case as Ian Thorpe last Olympics. Athletes are only celebs, when something happens. Michael himself realizes this. Euphoria shall be over soon, – unfortunately ?. If you want to start in London 2012, its probably too late to train.

Or do you think he will stop while he is ahead in the medal standings? I personally like watching him swim and hope he returns for another round. He’s been to Athens, Sydney, and Bejing. London will make number 4, if he decides to return.
